WELCOME TO WEB PAGES OF PROJECT HVAR POETRY MAP
The objective of this multimedia art project is to bring traditional music and dialect poetry of Jelsa, Vrisnik and Humac on the Island of Hvar, closer to audience in a modern way, and to tell a story of an island in an extraordinary manner.
The music you will hear is inspired by traditional recordings of a great composer and musicologist from Jelsa, Antun Dobronić, and poetry spoken is a work of two important poets from Vrisnik, brothers Marin Franičević and Jure Franičević-Pločar.
Voices that will read and sing to you belong to local people from Vrisnik and Jelsa.
Put your earphones, close your eyes and let them say a few words and sing some notes!
By clicking on marked locations on the map, select and listen to a desired performance.
